FRANKENSTEIN TREAT BOX

Look how cute this is! And it's so easy to make! I must give credit to Angie Juda for the idea and instructions!

I have my October Stamp Class coming up next Tuesday....I'm so far behind, I'm just now preparing for it. This will be one of the things we'll be making.

Here are the supplies needed for this project. All Supplies are Stampin' Up!
It's a pretty simple project! I think I'll make these for my special Trick or Treaters. I'll probably cello bag them too.

Old Olive 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock
Black cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
Basic Black Marker
Basic Black Classic Ink Pad
Sponge
Two Way Glue Stick
Dimensionals
Snail Adhesive or Sticky Strip

1. Cut a sheet of Old Olive cardstock in half at 5-1/2. Cut each piece in half again at 4-1/4. You will get two boxes from each sheet. You will use two of the 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 pieces for each box.

2. Score both pieces at 1-3/8" on 3 sides (one long side and two shorter sides).
On one of the pieces, clip off the corners along the longer side. Just clip up to the score line on the other one. Fold on all score lines and apply adhesive on one of the bottom pieces. Attach the two bottom pieces. Then begin to form your box, adding adhesive to hold the sides together.

*Oh, I forgot to tell you to draw your mouth before assembling the box...it's just easier that way! I just freehand drew it with the thin end of my black marker. It's basically just a big wide "w".

To Decorate you box
1. Cut a strip of black cardstock 2-3/4" x 1-3/8". This will be his hair. I just free-hand snipped his bangs. If you need to trim off more after doing this so that it doesn't hand down too long, just shorten the straight side. Then attach this to the top of the box.

2. Punch two circles from a scrap of Whisper White with your 3/4" circle punch for the eyes. Punch three more circles from Old Olive scraps with your 3/4" circle punch. These will form your eyelids and nose. Then punch a scrap of Black cardstock with your 1/2" circle punch. Glue your black circle inside of the white circle with your two-way glue pen.

3. Cut your Old Olive circles in half with scissors. Then, sponge your black ink around the edges of these halves. Add a small piece of dimensional to the back of 3 of these Old Olive halves. One is the nose....two are the eyelids. Attach the eyelids to the white/black circle piece that makes the eyes.

4. Attach the nose with the dimensional to the face. Once you have the nose attached to the face, then you can place the eyes and glue them down. I used my two-way glue pen to attach the eyes.

You are almost done now! Use your black marker to draw the scars on his face.

That's it! Fill it with your Halloween Treats! I also added some shredded grass stuff in mine and then I put in an individual package of Oreos and some Pixie Sticks. You could put whatever treats you want in it (as long as they fit...LOL).

These are just as cute as can be for a Halloween party or Trick or Treaters! I hope you enjoy making them! They're pretty easy and inexpensive to make! This same box could be used later for Christmas, decorated differently. Any occasion really!

As always, let me know if you have any questions! I'll be happy to help! Cindy
